Hyderabad: A 38-year-old plumber who sexually abused two siblings aged 10 and 12 years was convicted and sentenced to three years of imprisonment by a city court on Monday.
According to the police, the complainant Nasima, 38, (name changed) was a resident of Pocharam village. She went to Saudi Arabia where her husband in March 2017 to work and left their three children, including the victims, at their paternal grandparents’ house.
A month later, when Nasima called her children, the two girls told her that a plumber, Md Rasool, 38, who had come to carry out repairs at the house had inappropriately. Nasima came to the city and lodged a complaint.
Rasool, a resident of Indiranagar in Boduppal, was arrested and remanded. After the investigation, police filed a chargesheet in the Ninth Additional District Judge Court at LB Nagar. The court conducted a trial and convicted and sentenced Rasool, the police said.
