Vijay Diwas celebrated at Indian Air Force Headquarters in Bengaluru

The War Memorial at the Indian Air Force Headquarters Training Command saw a wreath-laying ceremony in memory of the armed forces.

Bengaluru: To commemorate India’s victory over Pakistan in the 1971 War, ‘Vijay Diwas’ was celebrated in the city on Sunday. The War Memorial at the Indian Air Force Headquarters Training Command saw a wreath-laying ceremony in memory of the armed forces personnel who laid down their lives for the country in the War.

Air Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh (awarded Bhadauria Param Vishisht Seva Medal, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal and Vayu Sena Medal), Air Officer Commanding in Chief Headquarters Training Command, IAF, laid a wreath at the Memorial on behalf of all personnel of the Indian Air Force in Bengaluru. Officers from local formations of Army, Navy Commanders and Senior Retired Officers of all the three services also laid wreaths. The ceremony concluded after observing a two-minute silence in the memory of the martyrs.
