Madhya Pradesh houses have poor' written on them

It appeared that the local administration has launched a move to identify the beneficiaries of BPL schemes in such a way.

Bhopal: In a replay of Rajasthan episode, houses in a tribal village in a Madhya Pradesh district have been found painted with “My family is poor”. Walls in the houses in the village of Binega under Chandanpura panchayat in Shivpuri district have been found marked as homes of below poverty line (BPL) families where poor people lived. A message scribbled on the walls of the houses in the village read “Mera Parivar Gareeb Hai”.

It appeared that the local administration has launched a move to identify the beneficiaries of BPL schemes in such a way. Expectedly, the issue has been drawn to the notice of National Human Rights Commission by a local social activist, Abhay Jain, for action. He described it as violation of rights of the villagers to live with dignity.
