Hyderabad: The TRS leadership is keeping eye on the Mahakutami rebels, especially those belonging to the Congress, said sources.
According to sources, the TRS is likely to adopt a two-pronged strategy towards the Congress rebels.
It will admit some of them into the party and encourage others to contest the elections.
The TRS admitted former MLA and Congress leader Gaddam Aravinda Reddy into the party on Friday.
He was denied the Congress ticket from Manchiryal.
TD leader Bollam Mallaih Yadav of Kodad, where TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy’s wife N. Padmavathi is contesting, was admitted into the ruling party also in TRS on Friday.
In some constituencies, the TRS will encourage Mahakutami rebels to contest in places where they can split the anti-TRS vote to benefit the ruling party.
