Spoke to H D Deve Gowda, H D Kumarswamy, will sort out hiccups: Dinesh Gundurao

Speaking to reporters here, Mr Rao said, \"We are coalition partners not only in Vidhana Soudha but also across the state.

Bengaluru: Exuding confidence over forming an alliance in the Mysuru Maahanagara Palike with the coalition partner JD(S), Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president, Dinesh Gundurao on Friday asserted that minor issues that have emerged will be sorted out as he had already spoken with JD(S) patriarch H. D. Deve Gowda and Chief Minister, H. D. Kumarswamy on this issue.

Speaking to reporters here, Mr Rao said, "We are coalition partners not only in Vidhana Soudha but also across the state. Our partnership will be there in the Lok Sabha elections too although, we know there will be resistance from some of our leaders and workers in some constituencies. It is all part ofe politics as wherever we are strong, there will be resistance. Leaders will always find ways and means to pacify our workers who are opposed to such an alliance. Mysuru is also facing the same kind of problem. We are confident of solving it soon."

In response to a question, Mr Rao shot back that it is there for everyone to see that who is pulling strings in the Enforcement Directorate. "I severely condemn the ED notice issued to Water Resources Minister, D. K. Shivakumar. It is already in the public domain that both Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and BJP national president, Amit Shah are after him. The ED and other investigating agencies are going after him," he charged.

Answering a question, Mr Rao said that when the Congress party had not even discussed about former minister, B. Sreeramulu, a section of media has been speculating that the party is eager to invite him to join its fold. "There is nothing new in Congress leaders joining the BJP or other parties or other party leaders joining the Congress. Joining and quitting is a part and parcel of politics. At this juncture I can only say that inviting Mr Sreeramulu to the Congress has not even crossed our minds."
