Karnataka: H D Kumaraswamy laucnches Kavery Online Services
Bengaluru: The state government has launched online services in the Stamps and Registration Department, aimed at preventing middlemen from extorting money from people for land documents and registration.
Speaking to reporters after launching Kavery Online Services here on Friday, Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy said that the government initiative will help in transparent governance in the department and curb corruption.
The government is also collecting information on farm loan waiver through the same services. This will help the beneficiaries get their payment directly, without the intervention of middlemen, he said.
The software will handle services pertaining to land deals, transfer of land, mortgage, lease documents,. stamps and registration online. Land owners can avail land documents online and encumbrance of any particular land in real time. The software also helps people calculate the registration stamp duty.
