Partnership office of Amaravati in Singapore

The APO has been set up to coordinate the master development of start-up area in Amaravati.

Vijayawada: The Singapore government established Amaravati Partnership Office (APO) in Singapore exclusively to promote Amaravati, the Greenfield Capital city and to coordinate with investors, technologies, and developers like Singapore consortium in developing Amaravati, grounding investments and trade.

The APO has been set up to coordinate the master development of startup area in Amaravati, enhancing capacities of different departments of Andhra Pradesh and to promote bilateral trade and investments. Giving impetus to the establishment of APO, Singapore trade and industry minister Iswaran is coming to Amaravati on Friday to discuss the promotion of development activities as well as investment and trade initiatives in the state.

As a prelude to Mr Iswaran’s visit, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu held a teleconference from Visakhapatnam with minister P. Narayana and other officials. The CM said, “The Greenfield Capital city, which would become the economic hub of the world, has received another feather in its cap. It’s a great gesture for development of Amaravati that the Singapore government established an office in Singapore to promote the trade and economic activity of Amaravati.”

The CM enquired about the first visit of 34 farmers/landowners to Singapore, who gave their land for Capital building. The second visit, scheduled from November 28 to December 1, 2017, to make farmers a part of construction of a world-class Capital city, will also be coordinated by the Singapore officials.
