Vijayawada/Guntur: A 70-year-old woman died of a heart attack while a 67-year-old collapsed and died while waiting in queues to exchange demonetised currency notes in Krishna and Guntur districts on Wednesday.
According to police, K. Vijayalaxmi was standing in a queue at the SBI branch in Vuyyuru, with a Rs 1,000 note when she clutched her chest and collapsed.
She was rushed to hospital where the doctors declared her ‘brought dead’.
