Hyderabad Water Board cuts 290 more water connections
The board has appealed to the defaulters to make the payment for the pending bills.
Hyderabad: The metro water board disconnected another 290 connections in additions to the already cut 850 connections of defaulters. The area of focus is mostly commercial and residential. Below poverty line families are out. Those who have failed to pay their bills for the last six months are being targeted. There are over 80,000 consumers who have not paid their bills for the last at least six months. The board has appealed to the defaulters to make the payment for the pending bills .
Meanwhile the total collections of GHMC increased to Rs 610 crores. The collection includes payment of property tax, layout regularising fee, trade license and pending arrears.
