Earthquake measuring 4.2 on Richter scale hits Delhi, northern India
There was no immediate loss of life and property reported from anywhere in the city.
New Delhi: A medium intensity earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter Scale today hit the national capital and parts of northern India. According to United States Geological Survey, the quake shook the national capital at around 4.30 am and was epicentred 13 kilometres southeast of Bawal in Haryana.
The earthquake had a depth of 10 kilometres, it said. There was no immediate loss of life and property reported from anywhere in the city. Many people tweeted about the earthquake despite the tremor hitting early in the morning.
