Hyderabad: The Nalgonda police has booked a couple for allegedly “talking” to Pranay, who was hacked to death in broad daylight in Miryalaguda over intercaste marriage last month.
According to the One Town police, the couple, identified as Naga Rao and Satyapriya, along with their children came to Pranay’s house and offered prayers saying that Pranay is appearing in their dreams.
They also said that he told them that they belong to the same community.
“The family alleged that Pranay and Maruthi Rao were enemies in previous life, and that the latter took revenge on Pranay in this life, adding that Pranay’s soul is communicating with them and that they could speak with it too. However, Pranay’s parents suspected them of being tricksters and informed the police,” the police said.
Meanwhile, the police said that Preventive Detention Act will be invoked against the culprits of Pranay’s murder following a meeting on Monday which was held by West Zone IG Stephen Ravindra with Nalgonda SP Ranganath to review the progress of the investigation.
