Bengaluru: Hackers are at it again as they managed to create fake Facebook and Twitter accounts of film star and Mandya MP Sumalatha Ambareesh.
Miscreants seized the opportunity to express their views against Congress strongman D.K. Shivakumar’s arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Her fake Facebook account slammed the central government for arresting Mr Shivakumar causing embarrassment to the BJP, which supported her in the elections. When it came to her notice, Sumalatha immediately clarified in her original Facebook as well as Twitter accounts that she had not commented on the arrest of Shivakumar.
She requested her fans and followers not to react or follow the fake accounts, and also attached the links to fake accounts.
Miscreants earlier managed to create fake accounts and hack the social networking sites of Sumalatha to mislead the people. She had filed a complaint at the Cyber Crime police station.
