Kozhikode: The Institution of Engineers (India) (IEI) Kozhikode unit is commemorating the 52nd Engineers' Day this year in association with Uralungal Labour Contract Cooperative Society (ULCCS) by organising a state-level workshop titled 'Engineering for Change- Rebuild Kerala' at UL Cyber Park, Kozhikode on Tuesday.
Minister for Labour and Excise T.P. Ramakrishnan will inaugurate the event at 9 a.m.
Metro man E. Sreedharan will deliver the keynote address while IEI Kozhikode unit chairman K. Bhaskaran will preside over the function.
ULCCS chairman Remeshan Paleri, group Chief Executive Officer Raveendran Kasthuri and UL Education director Dr. T.P. Sethumadhavan will address the gathering.
The workshop aims at exploring ideas from practising engineers to effectively fight the natural calamities and help rebuild a stronger Kerala," said the organisers here in a press conference.
As part of the workshop, different sessions on recent trends in engineering and the emerging challenges will be presented by eminent experts in the respective fields. Around 150 practising engineers will participate in the workshop. ULCCS chairman Remeshan Paler and group CEO Raveendran Kasthuri participated in the press conference.
