Judgment on Errum Manzil is a win for city: Shafat Ali
Hyderabad: Mr Shafat Ali Khan, secretary, Nawab Fakhr ul Mulk Legal Heir Association, welcomed the High Court judgment on Errum Manzil and said it is a victory of not only the family but of all Hyderabadis who love their heritage and culture. He said the Errum Manzil palace was the pride of Hyderabad, and was bigger than many palaces in Britain,
Mr Khan said he had requested Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao not to demolish the structure. “I had asked him to restore it and use the palace for receiving VVIPs and international personalities like Hyderabad House, where our Prime Minister meets foreign dignitaries.”
He added that cities that have fewer heritage buildings are trying to preserve them “while our city has many heritage buildings and sites, which show our past glory.”
