Mangaluru: Taking serious note of the alleged bribe demand by Executive Officer (EO) of Mangaluru Taluk Panchayat allegedly sought bribe from Panchayat Development Officers (PDOs), Mangaluru City North MLA Dr Y. Bharath Shetty has decided to complain it to the Chief Secretary of the state. The PDOs who alleged that the EO of Taluk Panchayat was demanding bribe from them for administrative approval of some of panchayat projects, questioned and gheraoed him at his office on Saturday. MLA Bharath Shetty rushed to the TP office and questioned the EO. The talk between the MLA and the officer went viral on social media. The video shows the EO allegedly saying that that he had to pay to “higher ups.”
