Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has completed more than 70 per cent of land acquisition required for the Uppal elevated corridor. The state government along with the Centre will construct a six-lane elevated corridor from Uppal to Narapally over 6.5 km at an estimated cost of Rs 1395.02 crore.
The corporation will have to acquire 257 properties to widen the road from 80 feet to 150 feet to construct the 50 feet flyover. The corporation has decided to expedite the project and complete the land acquisition project by the end of September to ensure that the project would be grounded by November which would ease heavy traffic congestion at the Uppal Junction.
