Help the poor, needy: Siddaramaiah to private hospitals
Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, speaking at National Conference on Health Services, Morality and Governance, said, “Private hospitals must provide good healthcare. The government is committed to provide it for people of all classes. I appeal private hospitals to join the government as both our aim is common - to help the poor and the needy.” The chief minister said that there have been complaints of declining human values in private hospitals and added that it is the need of the hour to uphold these values. "Private hospitals should take the decision to help society," he said.
Medical Education Minister Dr Sharanaparakash Rudrappa Patil said, “Government hospitals have good service but poor management because of many rules and regulations. In private hospitals, a doctor has the expertise to be an administrator as well. Though there is no fund crunch, government hospitals face the challenge of administration.”
