In Memoriam: Veteran Journalist Ch V.M. Krishna Rao's Legacy in Print and Politics

Hyderabad: Veteran journalist Ch V.M. Krishna Rao passed away here after a year-long battle against cancer. He was 64. Krishna Rao is survived by his wife, a son and daughter. The last rites will be performed at Maha Prasthanam at Jubilee Hills.

He had an illustrious career of 46 years and worked in various vernacular dailies and was bureau chief in Deccan Chronicle for about a decade. Fondly called ‘Babai’ he had in depth knowledge of politics, legislative procedures and irrigation.

Krishna Rao’s was condoled by Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy, CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka, AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi and BJP state president G. Kishan Reddy. The Press Club of Hyderabad also expressed its condolences.
