By When are Filling up the State Finance Commission, HC asks govt

Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Thursday asked the government to state in two weeks, the likely date when it would appoint the chairman and members of the TS Finance Commission.

A division bench headed by Chief Justice Alok Aradhe was dealing with a PIL filed by the NGI Forum for Good Governance, requesting directions to the state government to fulfil its obligation under Article 243 of the Constitution.

Sarasani Satyam Reddy, senior counsel submitted that the government is yet to take any steps in complying with the obligation. The said posts have been kept vacant for a year now.
