Hyderabad: Two persons were killed and two others survived with injuries when the SUV in which they were travelling from Mumbai to Hyderabad met with a road accident at Satwar in Sangareddy district. The speeding vehicle overturned when the front left tyre burst.
According to the Chiragpally police, seven people from Hyderabad returning to the city from Mumbai were in the vehicle when the accident took place on Thursday evening.
Two passengers, K. Kranthi Kumar, 27, and R. Arun, 24, residents of Old Bowenpally, suffered critical injuries and died on the spot while two others, Santosh and Subrah-manyam, received minor injuries.
Three other passengers, G. Jairam, Prashanth and Shekar, escaped unhurt.
Based on a complaint from Jairam, a case under Section 304 A of the Indian Penal Code was registered for a probe and the bodies were handed over to their relatives, police said.
