5 bodies recovered from Kavalappara, 21 missing
The search operations will continue till the last body is found, said the authorities.
KOZHIKODE: Five more bodies of the landslide victims of Kavalappara, Malappuram, were retrieved on Friday taking the toll to 38 so far while 21 more bodies were still missing.
The rescue workers did not find any body at Puthumala in Wayanad where 10 more people are yet to be traced.
The search operations will continue till the last body is found, said the authorities.
“Plans were afoot to bring the Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) from Delhi to locate the missing bodies,” said Transport Minister A.K. Saseendran.
He dismissed the reports that there were moves to end the search at Puthumala.
The GPR will be used first at Kavalappara where more people were missing and then at Puthumala, he said.
