AP Police prepared to face any hurdle thrown at them: N Chandrababu Naidu
Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Police are among the top in the country and can face any situation, says Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. He inaugurated the newly constructed five storied building consisting CID and Director General of Police office at Andhra Pradesh Special Police (APSP) 6th Battalion at Mangalagiri.
Mr Naidu said that ‘Octopus’ and ‘Greyhounds’ teams are added strength to the police and they rank among the top in the country with their operations. He added that 52 out of 195 police awards were won by our state which shows their commitment. Mr Naidu appreciated DGP N. Sambasivarao for constructing such a huge, modern building. “This building was very nice and I feel like hijacking the building and setting up my office here,” said Mr Naidu in a lighter vein.
Mr Naidu said that the government is focused on the welfare of police and every policeman should own a house. Maintaining one’s health is essential for cops he added. “The Octopus drill was marvelous and I am proud of those who performed in Tirupati. Our guys are better than robots,” said Mr Naidu. He asked the police to conduct monthly crime reviews and think out of the box. “Policing should be visible and the police should be invisible, Mr Naidu added.
