Vijayawada: Union minister of state for finance Arjun Ram Meghwal has said the Centre would soon announce a financial help for AP, whether as a special package or special status. Visiting the Durga Ghat and offering special prayers to Krishna river as part of Krishna Pushkaram here on Tuesday, he said that the plans for special package were in the final stage.
AP is the central government’s priority state and it would provide all support for solving the issues that arose out of state bifurcation. Reacting a question, he said the special package or special status, whatever it be, would be announced very soon. The special category status issue was being scrutinised the Union government. The Union minister expressed satisfaction over the Krishna pushkaram arrangements especially in supply of food, drinking water and cleanliness.
