Kozhikode: KK Rema, wife of slain RMP leader T.P. Chandrasekharan, on Tuesday came out in support of Beena, the widow of NRK businessman Sajan Parayil, saying she should not bow down to the slanderous campaign.
In an open letter posted on FB, she said after the murder of her husband, when she resisted attempts to divert the case, the CPM cyber bullies targeted her spreading such lies and half-truths.
"This is an attempt to save the CPM leaders involved in the incident by personally attacking you with cooked up tales to destroy your mental strength. You should not fall in the trap, but continue your fight," Ms Rema wrote.
She also urged the women cultural activists "affiliated" to CPM to come out in the open against targeting Ms Beena by "spreading tales about her personal life." She urged Ms Beena to be brave whatever challenges arise.
"We lost our life partners, and are being haunted by those who took the lives of our dear ones," she said.
"They are still harassing even the memories of our dear ones, which is the unifying bond between us."
The CPM mouthpiece that continuously publishes lies linking her with a driver demeans itself to lower than a yellow newspaper, she said. Such moves are not only anti-women but also anti-human and anti-democracy.
Going by the party mouthpiece, she said, it seems that Mr Sajan had approached the district and state leaders of CPM to sort out the problems in his family.
