K Chandrasekhar Rao tries to get Ram Nath 90/90

KCR annoyed by the absence of C. Laxma Reddy at mock poll.

Hyderabad: All the 85 TRS legislators including Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao who turned up at a mock polling session for Monday’s Presidential election marked their votes correctly, in favour of NDA nominee Ram Nath Kovind. Five others could not make it to the session held at Telangana Bhavan on Sunday.

Despite this, Mr Rao has ordered another mock polling at 8 am on Monday at the same venue, and directed all legislators to reach the Assembly buildings at 10 am in special buses to cast their vote in the Presidential election.

He expressed anger that health minister Dr C. Laxma Reddy did not turn up for the session, besides three MLAs who are unwell.

Assembly Speaker S. Madhusudana Chary normally avoids attending Legislature Party meeting.

Former minister Konda Surekha, legislators Dasari Manohar Reddy (Pedapalli) and Thati Venkateswarlu (AswaraoPet) did not attend for session.

The CM asked minister T. Harish Rao and MLC Palla Rajeswara Reddy to ensure their presence on Monday; if needed, they would be brought to the Assembly polling station in ambulances, he said.
