Passing out parade for first batch of Agniveers held in Secunderabad

Hyderabad: The 1 EME Centre, Secunderabad, hosted the attestation parade of its first batch of Agniveers, numbering 93, here on Saturday.

Brig. Suresh G., Commandant, 1 EME Centre, reviewed the parade in the presence of the parents of the Agniveers. The parents were honoured with ‘Gaurav Padaks.’

The basic military training of the first batch of Agniveers of the Corps of EME for 2022-23 had commenced on January 1 at the 1 EME Centre and culminated on March 1. The Agniveers then embarked on their advance military training at four training establishments of the Corps of EME, including the 1 EME Centre, a premier technical training institute for junior commissioned officers and other ranks.

After the completion of 14 weeks of advance military training, the Agniveers took the oath of allegiance at the attestation parade. The Agniveers took the oath by touching the National Flag, regimental colours and religious holy books (in accordance with their religion). Thereafter the Agniveers were solemnly welcomed as trained soldiers.
