VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister Jagan Reddy held a review of the Education department and directed the officials to expedite the Nadu Nedu works and complete them within the stipulated time.
The chief minister said, "There is no need for us to feel bad about many students getting less pass percentage in the SSC exams. The target of the government is to provide quality education."
He said the government is conducting exams again for the failed students and they will also be considered as regular exams.
The officials informed the CM that they are giving a chance to the passed students to write betterment exams in two subjects.
The CM said infrastructure is being developed in 22,344 schools under the second phase of the Nadu Nedu programme and asked the officials to ensure that the works are started in all the schools by this month-end.
"Set up TVs in schools. Think about appointment of a watchman in schools where the Nadu Nedu programme is completed, for the safety of the school property," he said.
Jagan asked the officials to provide best training to the teachers of the schools that got CBSE affiliation, in order for them to achieve best results.
The state government has been ensuring one junior college or high school plus or KGBV for women in each mandal. High schools in 292 mandals will be upgraded either to High School Plus or Junior College, the CM said.
The officials informed the CM that 57, 828 people have been using the read-along app; to which, the CM said the students should focus on phonetics.
