Banti says that although it is considered women are not given opportunities, her mother was the wind beneath her wings.
Hyderabad: “I crave sleep and I am not going to lie but sleep is something that every cadet dreams of,” says Flying Officer Banti who was one of the 13 women trainees commissioned on Saturday and was yet another example of women power as she also won the President’s Plaque for standing first in overall merit of the Ground duty Branch.
A post graduate in Chemistry from DU, Banti who takes immense pride in wearing the uniform was raised by her mother after the death of her father in 2004.
“My mother supported me with the earning of a dairy farm that we ran and my paternal uncle also supported my dreams,” she said.
