Telugu Rythu chief seeks probe on cops' suicides
Hyderabad: Telugu Rythu state president Onteru Pratap Reddy on Friday demanded a CBI pro-be over suicide of four police sub-inspectors in the state.
Speaking to media, the chief of the Telugu Desam’s frontal organisation for farmers said that there is no connection between Prabha-kar Reddy and beautician Sirisha and alleged that the police are trying to the case into wrong direction.
He alleged that ministers and MLAs are getting bribes from police stations and claimed that “sub-inspectors are committing suicide unable to cope up with the pressure from their politicians to collect money from the public”. Mr Reddy said that he is ready to prove this allegation.
The Telugu Rythu chief said that former Kukunoor sub inspector Ramakrishna Reddy in his suicide note named some police officials but the state government did not take any action against them till today.
He asked when TD MLC Deepak Reddy was arrested in land scam issue, why TRS MPs K. Kesava Rao and D. Srinivas were not arrested in the same land scam cases.
