Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh TD MLC Deepak Reddy was granted bail by a city court on Friday.
He along with his advocate Shailesh Saxena and realtor Srinivas were arrested by Hyderabad Central Crime Station police last Tuesday for involvement in a multi crore land scam in which he grabbed acres of government land using forged documents.
Earlier, on Thursday TDP Chief N. Chandrababu Naidu suspended the MLC from the party following his arrest.
Deepak Reddy, the son-in-law of TD MP J.C. Diwakar Reddy, was elected a member of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council in March 2017.
After he was remanded to judicial custody, the CCS police took him into custody and he was shifted back to prison on Thursday.
Meanwhile, after completion of his 14-day remand period, the court granted him bail on Friday, after which he was released from Chanchalguda Central Prison.
