Narendra Modi seems first choice of voters

If you visit the famous tea shop Pappu Ki Addi, in the Assi area of Varanasi, you will hear people discussing only about Modi.

Varanasi: “Whatever you say, Modiji has made us proud by putting Banaras on the international map. No other leader can do so,” says Hridaynarayan Mishra, yoga teacher and businessman here when asked about Prime Minister and Varanasi MP Narendra Modi.

Owner of a famous lassi shop near Kashi Vishwanath temple, Chanchal Yadav says, “Modiji has done lot of work here. We are happy with the development work done by him.”

If you visit the famous tea shop Pappu Ki Addi, in the Assi area of Varanasi, you will hear people discussing only about Modi. From the priests to a professors of Banaras Hindu University, everybody talks only about him.

There are 26 candidates contesting from Varanasi, including Ajay Rai of the Congress and Shalini Yadav of the SP-BSP alliance, but it’s the BJP candidate who is the most popular.

Rajya Laxmi Devi, who is from Varanasi, but lives in the US, is here to campaign for Modi because she feels that as PM he has shown the world what the Hindu culture is all about.
