Hyderabad: The Medipally police arrested a man for assaulting a head constable. The incident took place on Wednesday and the head constable who suffered a injury to his nose lodged the complaint on Thursday.
The Medipally police received an alert around 8 pm on Wednesday that one T. Vineeth Kumar, a graduation dropout in his early 20s, went over to a businessman’s house in RTC Colony and damaged several household articles.
Medipally police said that Vineeth was reportedly in love with the businessman’s daughter. However, as the girl was not interested in him, she refrained from responding to him. Hence he went to her house and created a ruckus.
When a team on patrol duty went to the spot to attend to the incident, Vineeth punched the head constable M. Shankar on the face, causing his nose to bleed.
