Karnataka polls won't hit KCR plan

The CM said the Federal Front would not be impacted by the results of the Karnataka election or any other poll.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday said that his proposed Federal Front would be a “political force” to reckon with in Indian politics and be “agenda-driven” rather than indulge in ‘silly politics”.

The CM said the Federal Front would not be impacted by the results of the Karnataka election or any other poll, and would be aimed at bringing qualititative and structural changes in India.

“I will try to bring all regional parties together. For example, parties like SP, BSP, Trinamul Congress are major forces in respective states. We will align with such forces based on a specific agenda for qualitative change in India. When such forces come together, it will be automatically become a major political force in the country," Mr Rao said.

The Chief Minister said that the BJP despite securing the popular mandate in the 2014 elections could not bring about qualititative change. He blamed anamolies in the Indian legislative and executive for Mr Modi’s failure to bring the desired change in the country.
