Telangana to give priority to rural road connectivity
ADILABAD: Forest and environment minister Jogu Ramanna said that the government is focusing on laying ring roads to improve connectivity across villages in rural and tribal areas.
The minister said villages have been connected to mandal headquarters, and mandal headquarters have been connected to district headquarters.
The construction of a ring road in the Khandala area in Adilabad has been proposed. It will connect many gram panchyats in Adilabad mandal, take a u-turn at Dubbaguda village in Bela mandal, and head towards Sathnala.
Another ring road that will connect eight gram panchayats is coming up in Jainad mandal, at a cost of Rs 35 crore. The minister has participated in the inauguration of road-laying works at Lekarwada on Monday.
The existing ring roads in Indravelli have proved to be useful to people in the interior areas. Traffic movement has increased after laying of the roads. People are now able to use better transportation such as jeeps and autos.
