Bengaluru: Labourer killed in wall collapse

Bengaluru: A 21-year-old labourer died on the spot after a mud wall at a construction site at Katamnallur Gate on Old Madras Road that was in a dilapidated condition after a heavy rain on Sunday collapsed on Tuesday afternoon. The deceased, Sharanappa, was from of Raichur. The deceased was in a shed near the wall when the incident happened. Though he lived in the shed with other workers, he was alone at the time of accident as others had gone for lunch. The incident occurred around 1 pm, the police said. Fire officials removed the trapped body. A fire official said that there was no engineer or supervisor at the site, which belongs to Brigade Group, when the incident happened and there were no safety measures followed by the workers.
