Hyderabad: The major traffic rule violation on Outer Ring Road is dangerous driving that includes driving on the wrong side or entering the speedway from the wrong side, and lane violation, according to the police.
The enforcement wing has booked 318 cases against drivers breaking the rules on ORR. Last week, the team booked a total of 357 cases of which 39 were for wrong parking. Drivers paid up Rs 3.11 lakh as penalty.
The ORR patrolling scheme was launched on January 18, 2014. Five patrol vehicles have been pressed into service from Peddamberpet to Shamirpet through Shamshabad.
From January 1, 2016, till May 13, a total of 6,704 cases had been booked against erring drivers.
