Hyderabad: Six marks extra to SSC students for two questions

Experts who evaluated the question papers found that two questions were wrong and that the students must not be made to suffer.

Hyderabad: Six marks will be added to the total in the mathematics papers I and II for SSC students who answered certain questions in the examinations on March 23 and March 25.

A release from the Directorate of Government Examinations said 5.5 marks would be awarded for Paper-I and half-mark for Paper-II. These marks will be given to students who attempted the questions.

The release stated that the sixth and sixteen questions in part A, seventh question in part B of Paper 1 and fourth question in part B in paper-II were incorrect and out of syllabus. Experts who evaluated the question papers found that two questions were wrong and that the students must not be made to suffer.

Mr B. Sudhakar, director of government examinations, said, “The recommendation of the committee is to add six marks to those students who attempted them. There will be action taken against the paper setters.”
