Former officials seek action against Chandrababu Naidu

Such a statement by Naidu against an officer like Mr L.V. Subrahmanyam stands against public interest as it challenges the authority of the EC.

Vijayawada: A team of retired IAS officers comprising M.G. Gopal, Ajeya Kallam, I.Y.R. Krishna Rao and S.K. Sinha met Gover-nor E.S.L. Narasimhan and complained against TD chief N. Chandrababu Naidu about his comments on the AP Chief Secretary and Chief Electoral Officer.

“We express anguish at the reported statement of the Chief Minister against the chief secretary and his behaviour towards the chief electoral officer when he visited his office on April 10. Such a statement by Mr Naidu against an officer like Mr L.V. Subrahmanyam stands against public interest as it challenges the authority of the Election Commission of India. Also, the intimidating tone of Mr Naidu’s words to the CEO is unbecoming of a public figure of his stature and standing,” the officers told the Governor
