Construction business yet to be defined: Builders Association of India

The event was attended by the presidents of 14 state units.

Hyderabad: The Builders Association of India has stated that it is the construction industry that implements a major part of the election manifestoes of the ruling parties at the Centre or the state level. And yet, no one has clearly defined what the construction industry is.

This emerged during the installation ceremony of the Builders Association of India that was held at Hyderabad on Tuesday under the presidency of its state president D.V.N. Reddy. The event was attended by the presidents of 14 state units.

Speaking on the occasion, Builders Association of India vice-president K. Sri Ram said that sanitation facilities, school buildings, health infrastructure and roads among others, which are promised in the manifestoes, are built by the construction industry.

“We are working like soldiers in the development of the country. I hope that the governments will identify our fraternity,” Mr Sri Ram said.
