Hyderabad: A rowdy-sheeter who attempted to kill a 19-year-old youth with a knife was arrested by the Mir Chowk police on Sunday. According to police, an argument broke out between two groups near a tiffin centre in Purani Haveli and later turned into a brawl, during which the suspect, identified as Masiuddin, aged 20 years, attacked Kasim, aged 19 years, resident of New Malakpet, with a knife.
The incident occurred around 2:30 am on Sunday. Kasim suffered an injury on his right thigh and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital where his condition is said to be normal. Based on a complaint lodged by Shahzeb, the Mir Chowk police booked a case under Section 307 (attempt to murder).
