Hyderabad High Court stalls appointment of teachers

While granting the interim order, the judge directed the TSPSC and other respondents to file the counter affidavits within three weeks.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Monday directed the Telangana Public Service Commission (TSPSC) not to make an appointment for the posts of Trained Graduate Teachers in Mathematics, Physical Science and Biological Sciences in Residential Educational Institutions Societies in the state. The court also notified that if anyone is appointed, every appointment order should consist the undertaking that the appointment is temporary and would be subject to the further outcome of the petition pending before it.

Justice A Ramalingeswara Rao while dealing with a petition by K Sreenu and 71 other aspirants for the post challenging the notification issued by the TSPSC for recruitment of teachers in residential schools on April 14, 2017, granted the interim order.

Petitioner's counsel Ms. B Rachna Reddy protested that the notification was issued in violation of the Rule of Reservation. While granting the interim order, the judge directed the TSPSC and other respondents to file the counter affidavits within three weeks.
