Three more people tested positive for COVID 19 in Kerala

Total number of infected persons rises to 24

Kochi:The total number of novel coronavirus infected persons in Kerala increased to 24 with three new cases reported on Monday late evening.

Two people from Malappuram district, recently arrived from Saudi Arabia, and another person from Kasargod district, with a travel history to Dubai, have been tested positive.

With this the total number of COVID 19 patients under treatment in the state increased to 24.

A total of 12740 people are under observation of whom 270 are admitted in hospitals.

With more non resident Kerlaites arriving from foreign countries, more persons are being quarantined every day.

A total of 2297 samples were sent for testing among which 1693 samples tested negative.

Meanwhile, chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan convened an all-party meeting to discuss COVID 19 preventive and control measures.
