Vijayawada: YSRC releases list of 9 Lok Sabha candidates

Jagan Mohan Reddy’s cousin Y.S. Avinash Reddy has found place in the list, having been re-nominated for the Kadapa LS seat.

Vijayawada: Banking on an auspicious muhurat on Saturday night, the YSR Congress announced its first list of candidates who will contest for nine Lok Sabha segments.

Announcing the list, party senior leader and Rajya Sabha member Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy said that YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, in consultation with the party’s Core Committee has already finalised candidates for all 175 Assembly and 25 Lok Sabha constituencies.

Owing to the auspicious muhurat, he said that initially, the names of nine candidates have been released and the remaining list will be released soon by Mr Jagan Mohan and it will be announced on Sunday at Idupulapaya, after he pays tributes late Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy before kick-starting his poll campaign.

“As per the suggestions of Sri Sarada Peetham Seer Sri Swaroopanadendra Saraswathy, going by good muhurat, we are releasing the first list with nine names. Jagan will release the remaining list at Idupulapaya,” said Mr Prabhakar Reddy.
