Vijayawada: District Electoral Officer and collector A. Md. Imtiaz on Saturday told returning officers be alert right from the nominations process to till the end of polling on April 11.
The collector addressed returning officers and assistant returning officers of all the 16 Assembly that come under the district here on Saturday as part of a training programme for them on the measures to be taken at the time of receiving of nominations, scrutiny and withdrawal of nominations and conducting polling in a smooth way.
The collector directed the ROs to release the notification on March 18 and reminded them that nomination papers can be received from 11 am till 3 pm. Only three vehicles will be allowed inside the RO offices and only five persons can accompany the candidate at the time of submission of nomination.
