Kurnool: Vivekananda Reddy’s kin will not answer SIT
Kurnool: YSRC leader Y.S. Avinash Reddy, a relative of Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy, who was among the first to go to his house on Friday morning after his body was found, claimed that there was no letter found there.
YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, however, said on Saturday that the police had shown him a bloodied letter that was purportedly written by Mr Vivekananda Reddy in which he had reportedly said that the driver Prasad had beaten him.
Mr Avinash Reddy, a relative, said that he went to the house after receiving a call from Mr Siva Prakash Reddy, brother-in-law of Mr Vivekananda Reddy, about the death. "Before that, Mr Vivekananda Reddy's personal assistant Krishna Reddy had entered the house," Mr Avinash Reddy told media persons at Kadapa on Saturday.
He said that among those who were entered the house was Mr Gangi Reddy, the father of Ms Y.S. Bharathi, and the wife of Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy.
When inquired about the letter in which Mr Vivekananda Reddy purportedly said that the driver should not be spared, he said the letter was produced before Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy by the police in the evening.
When asked whether he was willing to cooperate with the SIT investigation, Mr Avinash Reddy replied in the negative.
The Pulivendula police could not pick up clues from Mr Viveka-nanda Reddy's house as the place was cleaned of the blood stains.
A TD leader alleged that some family members of Mr Vivekananda Reddy from Pulivendula had caused the disappearance of the evidence.
