Kakinada: 68,000 students to appear for SSC exams

Drinking water will be provided along with requisite furniture, lighting and other facilities.

Kakinada: As many as 68,428 students including 33,960 boys and 34,468 girls will appear for their SSC examinations starting from March 18 till April 3 from 9.30 am to 12.15 pm.

District education officer S. Abraham said that 307 centres had been allotted for the examinations.

Chief superintendents and department officers have been deployed. These officials have undergone a special training from March 1 to 6. More that 3,700 invigilators have also been deployed.

Drinking water will be provided along with requisite furniture, lighting and other facilities.

Mr Abraham further said that 17 striking inspection teams and 75 sitting inspection teams had been formed for smooth conduct of the examinations.

He asked the students to reach the examination centres by 8.40 am. Students and examination personnel are not allowed to carry cell phones to the examination hall. Students can avail RTC transport to reach the examination centres by showing their hall tickets.

Mr Abraham added that students would be able to write the examination in a smooth and fair environment without any tension or stress.

He asked the parents of the students not to believe in any rumours that they hear about the examinations.
