The travel solutions provider will promote local tourism to increase higher traffic to the region.

Kalpetta: Cleartrip has inked a deal with the District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) to list activities managed by Wayanad DTPC on its platform.

"Cleartrip has established itself as the preferred online travel portal for travellers seeking unique holidaying experiences," he said.

"Our partnership with Cleartrip will help us tap into this shift in traveller sentiments and establish Wayanad amongst the go-to tourist destinations in India."

Ankit Rastogi, vice-president - accommodation and Activities, Cleartrip, said new-age Indian travellers are increasingly demanding novelty.

"This demand is exactly what we are catering to with our curated range of local activities. Wayanad is one of the popular destinations in Kerala and has a rich cultural, historical, and natural heritage," he said.

"Our association with Wayanad DTPC enables travellers to conveniently access various activities online and immerse themselves in these, thus heightening their holidaying experience."
