Excise to keep complaint boxes: T P Ramakrishnan
KOZHIKODE: The excise department would keep complaint boxes in all local administrative bodies in a bid to bridge the gap between the excise department and the public, said Excise Minister T.P. Ramakrishnan here on Friday. Mr Ramakrishnan told reporters that either the excise commissioner or the squad appointed by the commissioner will open and collect the complaints. At present, all excise range offices had complaint boxes, he said.
On the recent controversy that women employees were being persecuted in the department, Mr Ramakrishnan said that he had received the complaint from the State Human Rights Commission. There were no details about the complainant or the accused. Though an inquiry was conducted, no information had been received, he added.
