Hyderabad: Two youths were killed and three others were injured in a road mishap on the NH at Kompally on Wednesday. The car in which they were traveling collided head on with a speeding truck killing the two, a BTech student and his friend.
The victims were returning home after attending their relative’s wedding when the road accident occurred. According to local police the incident occurred near Highway 44 restaurant on the National Highway.
“The car rammed head on into the truck which was coming from the opposite side. Due to the heavy collision the victims suffered serious injuries. Both of them died on the spot,” said a police officer.
The deceased were identified as Sai Kiran Reddy, 19, the son of Laxma Reddy, a student at an engineering college and his friend, Sai Kumar, 20, son of Ramesh, who works in a private company.
Three of their friends Mahesh, Venkat Raju and Chandra Reddy, who sustained injuries, were taken to a hospital. All of them belong to Bowrampet village. The car was heavily damaged. Police said the victims had gone to attend the wedding of their friend at Bollam last night.
