AP Task force rescues deer from wild dogs

The sleuths heard a spotted deer’s panicked wails and saw it running in the forest.

TIRUPATI: A spotted deer being chased by wild dogs in Seshachalam forests was rescued by Red Sanders Anti-Smuggling Task Force and treated for injuries before it was handed over to the forest officials.

Early Sunday morning, acting on the instru-ctions of Task Force In-Charge and SP P. Ravi Shankar, a team led by RSI Vijaya Narasimhulu started combing operations from Bhupal colony in Thimmanaidu Palem beat near Tiru-pati.

The sleuths heard a spotted deer’s panicked wails and saw it running in the forest. Noticing that it was being chased by some wild dogs, they chased away the wild dogs and rescued the deer which had sustained injuries. The sleuths later managed to calm the deer and administered first aid.

Task Force team members Johnny Basha, Srinu and Ramanjane-yulu carried the injured deer to the forest border, which was 2.5 km from the spot where the deer was rescued.

Later, RI Murali reached the spot and took over the injured deer, while the task force team continued their journey into the forest for combing operations.
